STUDIO GOUNAMI
Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how the Studio Gounami Mod Dashboard ("Dashboard", "we", "us", or "our") accesses, uses, stores, and protects information when authorized Studio Gounami team members use the Dashboard, including when they connect a Google/YouTube account.
The Dashboard is a private stream moderation and production application. It is not intended as a public social network or general-purpose YouTube client.
2. Google and YouTube data we access
When a user chooses to connect YouTube, the Dashboard requests the
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl OAuth scope. Depending on the features used and
the permissions available to the connected account, the Dashboard may access or process:
| Data | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| OAuth authorization data | Access token, refresh token, granted scopes, token expiration, connection time | Maintain the user's authorized YouTube connection and make permitted API requests. |
| Connected channel identity | Channel ID, channel title, handle, profile image | Show which YouTube identity is connected and attribute actions to the correct account. |
| YouTube Live Chat data | Messages, message IDs, channel/user IDs, display names, profile images, timestamps, live chat identifiers | Display live chat, support moderation, preserve relevant moderation context, and allow authorized live-chat actions. |
| Channel and creator metadata | Channel name, handle, description, creation date, public statistics and live status | User lookup, moderation context, creator tools, and stream operations. |
| Live broadcast metadata and statistics | Video ID, title, category, privacy status, thumbnail, concurrent viewers, likes, live start/end status | Live Statistics, stream monitoring, and authorized broadcaster controls. |
| Actions performed through the Dashboard | Messages sent, deleted chat messages, timeouts, bans, and broadcaster metadata changes | Carry out actions expressly selected by an authorized moderator or broadcaster. |
3. How we use Google and YouTube data
Google and YouTube data is used only to provide and maintain the Dashboard's stream moderation and production functions, including:
- connecting and identifying an authorized moderator's YouTube account;
- displaying supported YouTube live chat and live-stream information;
- sending live-chat messages when the connected user explicitly chooses to send them;
- performing moderation actions that an authorized user explicitly selects;
- supporting user/channel lookup and moderation context;
- reading live-broadcast status and statistics for Studio Gounami stream operations; and
- when the Studio Gounami broadcaster account is connected, applying stream metadata or thumbnail changes specifically requested through the Dashboard.
We do not sell Google user data, use Google user data for targeted advertising, or provide Google user data to data brokers.
4. Storage and security
The operational Dashboard is hosted as a private Studio Gounami service. Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored on the Dashboard server in an encrypted token store using AES-256-GCM. OAuth client secrets are not displayed to moderators.
Other operational records, such as moderation notes, action logs and chat history used for moderation context, may be stored locally by the Dashboard. Access is restricted to authorized Dashboard users.
For YouTube, non-statistical API data such as chat, moderation context, timeline items, creator lookup/status data, and recent viewer activity is refreshed or deleted within 30 days. Statistics returned directly by authorized YouTube API Services (for example, live concurrent viewers, likes, subscriber count, channel view count, and video count) may be displayed and, where applicable, retained while the authorization remains valid. The Dashboard re-verifies applicable YouTube authorization at least every 30 days. The Dashboard does not create unapproved new or derived YouTube metrics such as custom scores, independently calculated YouTube session averages/highs, chat-rate metrics, or blended Twitch + YouTube performance metrics. Twitch-only community and session features are handled separately.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a private moderation tool. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
5. Retention
Authorization tokens are retained only while they are needed to provide the connection authorized by the user. YouTube API data is retained only as long as needed for the disclosed Dashboard functions and is handled in accordance with applicable YouTube API Services data-retention and refresh requirements.
Users may request deletion of data related to their connected YouTube account. We will process valid deletion requests as soon as reasonably possible and within the time period required by applicable YouTube API policies.
6. Sharing and access
We do not sell Google/YouTube user data. Data is shared with Google/YouTube as necessary to make the API requests selected by the user. Within the private Dashboard, information may be visible to Studio Gounami moderators or production team members who are expressly authorized to perform the relevant moderation or production work.
We may disclose information when legally required, or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and integrity of the Dashboard, Studio Gounami, or its users.
7. Revoking Google/YouTube access
A user can disconnect YouTube from the Dashboard at any time. The Dashboard's disconnect/data-deletion control removes the saved YouTube authorization, attempts to revoke the OAuth grant with Google, and removes locally stored YouTube data associated with that connected channel.
A user can also revoke the Dashboard's access directly through Google's account permissions page: Google Account permissions. Revoking access prevents future authorized API access using that authorization.
Users may also contact us to request deletion of locally stored data associated with their connected account. See Data Deletion & Revocation for the process.
Deleting information stored by the Dashboard does not delete information stored by YouTube itself. To remove content or data from YouTube, the user must use YouTube or another authorized client that supports the relevant deletion action.
8. Google API Services User Data Policy
The Dashboard's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
9. YouTube API Services
Use of YouTube-connected features is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, the YouTube API Services Terms of Service, and applicable YouTube API Services policies.
Google's general privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
10. Children's privacy
The Dashboard is a private team tool and is not designed or directed to children. Access to the operational Dashboard is limited to authorized Studio Gounami team members.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Dashboard features or data practices change. If a change materially affects how Google user data is accessed or used, we will update the policy before using that data for a newly disclosed purpose.
12. Contact
